The Recommendations slide

The Recommendations slide is where the coverage gap scan turns into a client-facing pitch. Eyebrow "Recommendations", headline "What we would add." It does not appear on every deck. It only shows up when you've opted into it, and only with at least one item selected.

#Where it comes from

Every priced build runs the coverage gap scan, which flags findings against your quote and, when relevant, your Vault standards, like a rule to always offer an umbrella on certain classes, or to quote flood once a building value crosses a threshold. Those flagged findings surface as checkboxes on the pre-build options step, the "Your vault weighed in. Anything else?" screen shown right before you click to build.

Whatever you check there becomes this slide. The obvious, standards-backed recommendations start pre-checked for you; anything more borderline starts unchecked so you're deciding, not defaulting. If you check nothing, no Recommendations slide gets built at all.

#What's on the slide

A simple bulleted list, one line per selected item: a bolded title followed by a plain-English explanation of what's being recommended and why. Unlike the Analysis panel and the options step, this slide deliberately drops the page citation. The client doesn't need to see "Quote p.5," they need the recommendation stated cleanly.

#Adding or changing it after the build

You're not locked into whatever you picked before the deck built. Two ways to change it afterward:

  • The Analysis panel has a button to add the currently flagged items to the deck as a slide, so you can revisit this after seeing the full picture.
  • The outline editor's assistant thread genuinely edits the deck for two specific commands. Typing something like "add the umbrella" pulls any umbrella or excess-matching flagged gaps onto this slide and confirms with a reply naming the actual indicated limit and rough cost. Typing "quote flood" does the same for flood-matching gaps, citing your vault standard by name. Both are real edits, not canned responses, the slide rebuilds immediately.

Preview note: Outside of the fee-set, umbrella, and flood commands, the outline assistant's replies are scripted rather than a live model reading your proposal. Anything else you type there returns a fixed message pointing you back to inline editing.
