Client links and view tracking

Preview notePreview note: In this release, client links are a preview of this feature. The link that gets copied does not point to a live, hosted version of the deck yet, and there is no real view tracking behind it. Live hosted links with real view tracking arrive with the hosted release.
#What the button does today
From the Download / Export ▾ menu, Copy client link (tracks views) is the top item in the list. Click it and the app copies a link to your clipboard and logs the action to your activity feed as creating a client link for the proposal.
Treat this as a preview of what the feature will do once hosting is live, not as a working share link today. Do not send the copied link to a client expecting them to be able to open it, and do not report any view counts as real activity from a client's side. The Recent activity feed you see today reflects your own actions inside the app during your session, not visits from anyone you might send a link to.
#What it will do
Once the hosted release ships, this same button will generate a real, live URL that opens the deck in a browser for whoever you send it to, with no app or login required on their end. Views will be tracked and will show up as real events in your activity feed, so you will be able to see when a client actually opens the proposal you sent.
#What to use in the meantime
Until then, use one of the other export options to actually get a proposal in front of a client:
- Print or save as PDF for a PDF attachment or a printed leave-behind.
- Export HTML, Markdown, and Copy for AI for a self-contained file the client can open on their own.
- Email a proposal for the fastest path from deck to a drafted message.
