The pre-build options step

Updated July 11, 2026

Right before a priced proposal builds, ProClose shows you one screen to review what your Vault found for this risk. The heading reads Your vault weighed in. Anything else?, under the eyebrow Before we build.

This step only appears on the priced-proposal path (a real quote PDF was loaded, or a sample was selected). A discovery brief built from a pulled call with no quote skips this step entirely, since there is no gap scan to review yet.

#Where each part comes from

The vault market line

At the top is a single status line telling you whether the carrier on this quote matches a market already on file in your Vault. It has three variants:

  • A match: a green check, "\<Market\> is on file in your vault for \<Class\>", with a contact name and the Appetite Guide's last-updated date.
  • A carrier that parsed but is not in your Vault: an amber flag, "This carrier is not in your vault yet", with a note to consider adding it once bound and a count of other markets on file.
  • No carrier context yet: a neutral state, "Your vault is ready to consult on this one".

This comes from checking the parsed carrier name against your appetite guide.

Recommended for this risk, per your standards

Below the market line is a section labeled Recommended for this risk, per your standards. Each row here is a checkbox tied to something the coverage gap scan flagged on this specific quote, with a source citation and a plain-English explanation. If the scan found nothing to flag, this section reads Nothing flagged for this one.

Some rows arrive pre-checked, the ones your Vault's coverage standards treat as an obvious yes for this class of risk. Others start unchecked for you to decide.

Ask for changes in plain English

Below the recommendations is a chat-style thread where you can type a request, for example asking to add an umbrella or quote flood, and send it.

Preview note

Preview note: in this release the thread answers with a scripted set of responses tied to common asks (umbrella, flood, TRIA, deductible). It can check the matching recommendation box for you when it recognizes the request. The full version, wired to the Anthropic API against your Vault and this parsed quote, arrives in the production build.

#What checking a box does

Every box you leave checked when you confirm becomes part of the deck's Recommendations slide. If you leave every box unchecked, no Recommendations slide gets built at all, there is nothing to show. You can always add or remove this slide later from the outline editor if you change your mind after the deck is built.

#Confirming

Two buttons sit at the bottom:

  • Skip closes the step and builds the deck with no recommendations selected.
  • Looks good, build the deck. confirms your checkbox choices and builds the deck with a Recommendations slide reflecting them.
