The client questionnaire
Updated August 20, 2026
Property research is honest about what a public dataset simply cannot answer, roof age chief among them. Instead of only handing you a list to ask over the phone, ProClose can also send those exact questions straight to the insured as a link they answer on their own time.
#Creating the link
Create client questionnaire link appears in two places, once research has produced questions to ask: on the research panel itself, and as a button on a proposal's expanded row on the Proposals page. Click it and ProClose saves the current question list to the proposal and mints a link shaped like https://<your-workspace>/q/<token>, copied straight to your clipboard. Send it to the client however you would send any link, text, email, or paste it into your CRM.
Clicking the button again later reuses the same link rather than minting a new one, so a link you already sent stays valid.
#What the client sees
The insured opens the link to a plain, mobile-first form in your agency's brand accent, headed "\<Agency\> has a few questions about \<client\>." Each research question gets its own text box, plus optional name and email fields. No login, no app, nothing but the form. They can leave any question blank and still submit, as long as at least one has an answer.
If they open the link again after already submitting once, the form shows a note that submitting again updates their previous answers rather than adding a second set.
#Where the answers land
Once submitted, the answers show up in two places: under From the client on the proposal's expanded row on the Proposals page, and in the same spot inside the builder when you open that proposal's workspace. Each answer is matched back to the exact question it answers, along with who answered (if they gave a name or email) and when.
