Coaching notes on a call
Updated August 20, 2026
Alongside the client-facing insights pulled from a call, transcribing a call also runs a second, internal-only pass: a coaching read on how the call itself went.
#Where to find it
On the From the call card, after a call has been pulled and analyzed, a Coaching notes section sits collapsed at the bottom. Click it to expand. If a call was transcribed before coaching existed, or its coaching pass failed at the time, you will see a Generate coaching notes button there instead, click it to run coaching on that call's already-saved transcript, no re-transcription and no re-billing the audio.
#What it covers
- Score. 1 to 10, or no score at all when the call is too short or too unclear to judge fairly, shown as Not enough to judge rather than a guessed number.
- Summary. One plain sentence on how the call went, or, when there is no score, an explanation of why there was not enough to judge.
- What worked. 2 to 4 specific strengths, each one citing the moment on the call it happened.
- Missed questions. 2 to 4 discovery questions the producer should have asked and did not, specific to the risk the caller described on that call.
- Next step. Whether a concrete next step got proposed, and whether it had an owner and a rough timing, or whether it was left open.
- Objections. Every objection or hesitation the caller raised, and whether it was handled well, partly, or missed.
- Talk ratio. Producer versus client, when the transcript has clear enough speaker labels to measure it from.
- Coach note. Two or three sentences an owner could say to the producer directly, specific to that call.
#Who sees it, and where it never appears
Coaching notes are internal. They show up in the call panel and in a proposal's expanded row on the Proposals page, visible to the proposal's owner, to an agency owner, and to anyone the proposal was shared with (sharing hands over the whole payload, coaching included, with a reminder shown to the owner before they share, see Sharing a proposal). They never appear on the deck, in any export, or on a client-facing link. A client opening a /p/ or /q/ link never sees a coaching score or note, full stop, the deck-safe field list ProClose builds a client's view from does not carry it.
#Cost and caching
Coaching runs once per call, alongside the same transcription pass, and the result is cached the same way, see Call analysis: caching, limits, and privacy. Re-opening a call that already has coaching notes never regenerates them.
